Hans Mauli – Europe 59-64
Just some quick killer photos of places in Europe from the late 50’s and early 60’s. I know very little about the author but from the looks of these, he had (has) a good eye.

In an effort to forget that it’s supposed to break the 110°F mark this week, I put together some tunes that I hope will keep me from going stir-crazy as I avoid all sun contact until October.

While I’d like to do an overhaul of my work section (and possibly this entire blog), I figured I ought to at least throw some recent stuff up that I’ve been a part of to keep it fresh for another day.
Feel free to mosey on over and have a gander if you’d like: http://www.christianross.net/marriagetoday/
I’ve got a few more things I’ll probably add and I’m thinking I’ll pull it all into a single page at some point but this should at least show that I actually turn out work from time-to-time.
And, in case you’re looking or know someone that might be, I am available for contract work and would love the opportunity to show you how I might be able to serve you.
Since the skin has melted off the majority of the people in the US by now, I figured it time to throw up some things to help you cover up your soon-to-be scarred bodies. A random mix of things I *need to have in my closet by day’s end.
Surely you know about Warby Parker, but if you don’t here’s a quick low-down: they’re an internet-based eyeglasses manufacturer that does a similar one-for-one deal like Toms shoes with those in third world nations. $95 for a pair of high-class prescription glasses with the added bonus of getting 5 pairs of frames in the mail to try on before ordering and you get to help out another in the process. Win.
Just a couple of months ago though they branched out into the sunglasses market as well. Double win.

We had the fortune of visiting my grandparents this weekend to help them celebrate their 60th anniversary of marriage. They still dig each other after all these years. Impressive stuff.
While there, we were able to attend church at the congregation that my grandfather has preached at almost every Sunday for the last 40+ years. Another impressive feat. His congregation is as west-Texas rural as you can get. Their membership is doubled every time our family gets together and joins them. Great stuff all around.
The icing on the cake had to be when my uncle Thom invited my son Cohen to come up and lead some singing with him. Unfortunately, like most things, I ruined it for the most part but we were able to get him on video up there singing and swaying to one of his favorite old hymns, Heavenly Sunlight.
Four generations separated our song-leader from our preacher this past Sunday and I can’t imagine anyone more pleased than the big man upstairs. Though I’ll admit I’m a pretty close second…
