Guess old comb-over himself keeps up with my site. He must have noticed how I mentioned his scuffle with ‘uber-lez’ and was kind enough to send me some free tickets to “Think Big, Live Large!”
Apparently, Trump Sr. is too important to show though so he will be sending his coat-tailing son to tell great stories about daddy and his panther. ‘Twas nice of panther-head to invite me (and 8 billion others probably) but I’d rather eat my own shoe than listen to whatever he has to say. Isn’t this the same guy that ran a casino into bankruptcy? A casino? Doesn’t the house always win? Genius.

How and when did we ever cross the line that these two should actually be getting face time?
I don’t watch much reality TV, but I would ‘SUID’ my TiVo for a cage-match between the two. I’m pretty sure she/it would win but it’s yet to be known if that rug on his head is actually dead. If not, I’d take the points on Trump w/a cougar.
In other news, unless you’ve been under a rock for a week or you’ve never heard of the Internet (don’t worry, it’s just a fad), you have had to have seen the coverage over the new iPhone:
Here’s my take: cool phone, built in iPod but not a lot of space, too expensive, don’t want cingular, not sure about the keyboard situation. The above photo was one from the Steve Jobs presentation at Macweek2007. After the first glance at the phone, check the hand model. Somebody needs to buy that guy some fingernail clippers. I think I see something growing under there.
Speaking of Jobs, he gets built up like a saint compared to Gates but have you caught wind about the lawsuit over the iPhone name? Jobs (and Apple) knew that it had been trademarked in 2001 by Cisco (another big company w/money). After several attempts to work out a solution to use the name Apple decided just to go ahead with it. Cisco sued on the spot. The only problem is, Jobs formed an entirely different company to use the name. It’s not under Apple. So, When Cisco goes after them there wont be anything to get. No money. Sorry Cisco, sucks to be you.
Since it has been exactly one month and a day since I started my 5 things I decided I better finish them up. I have 6, but hey, it’s my list.
1. bought first house
2. didn’t kill lawn, yet
3. completed entire fiscal and calendar year of working for self
4. learned new technology/ideas/practices to help further my abilities
5. made several paid trips to the beach
6. flew in a Piper Cherokee to of all places, Branson

Now on to this year’s list. I’ve never been much for new year’s resolutions, but I thought I would try this year to set a couple of things I’d like to accomplish. I guess it’s a resolve to do something, whatever. As I thought about it, I came up with several but am only sharing a couple. Gotta leave some element of surprise. So, this year I want to (in no particular order):
– learn Spanish (at least have a small ability to communicate in it)
– work more efficiently
– get in shape (wow, sad it’s come to that)
There are more, but 3 is plenty for now.
Thinking of changing up my theme soon. Just one of those things that gets shuffled into the ‘not enough time to do free stuff’ pile.
